Using Solcast data in PVsyst

Importing Solcast data into Pvsyst is easy, taking just a few minutes.

TMY

  1. Download your Solcast data in the ‘PVsyst’ format. pvsyst_TMY_1v1.PNG

  2. Select ‘Databases’ PVsyst_TMY_2.PNG

  3. Select ‘Known Format’ PVsyst_TMY_2.5.PNG

  4. Select ‘PVsyst standard format’ from the drop-down menu. Then select ‘Choose’ PVsyst_TMY_3.PNG

  5. Input appropriate location data for the site. Then select ‘Import’ PVsyst_TMY_4.PNG

Time Series

  1. Download your Solcast data in the ‘PVsyst’ format. pvsyst_hts_1.PNG

  2. Select ‘Databases’ PVsyst_TMY_2.PNG

  3. Select ‘Known Format’ PVsyst_TMY_2.5.PNG

  4. Select ‘PVsyst standard format’ from the drop-down menu. Then select ‘Choose’ PVsyst_TMY_3.PNG

  5. Input appropriate location data for the site. Then select ‘Import’ PVsyst_TMY_4.PNG

Monthly Data

  1. Download your Solcast data in the ‘PVsyst’ format. pvsyst_avg_1.PNG

  2. Select ‘Databases’ PVsyst_TMY_2.PNG

  3. Select ‘Geographical sites’

  4. Select ‘New’ pvsyst_avg_3.PNG

  5. In the ‘Geographical Coordinates’ tab, input appropriate location data for the site. pvsyst_avg_4.PNG

  6. In the ‘Monthly Meteo’ tab, copy the GHI column from the downloaded csv, and select the ‘Paste’ button. pvsyst_avg_5v4.PNG

  7. Repeat step 6 for the remaining parameters. pvsyst_avg_6.PNG
